wupadupa house gig, sat 27th feb
our first house gig ended up being very successful with much fun had by all, so we're doing another one with the following artists playing: Dan Addison, Amrit Sond and Pinknruby
There will also be homemade cake and/or cookies. Yay!
It's on Saturday 27th February, starting at 8pm and is in the Kingston Upon Thames area.
The gig is free, but you are invited to make a small donation (suggested amount £5) with all the money going to the artists.
Each act will be playing for about 30/40mins with a short break between each act for us all to mingle and socialise.
Same deal as last time... As space is limited we are unable to give out the location of the gig to everyone, so if you would like to come along:
1. send us an email to wupadupa@googlemail.com saying you would like to go to the gig along with your name, email and your general location e.g. London, Scotland, South West etc.
2. If there is still space on the magical audience list then we will add your name to said magical audience list and notify you that your name has been added to the magical audience list, along with the address of the gig.
That's it! When you get to the gig location your name will be cross referenced against the magical audience list. PLEASE do not advertise or tell others the address as we only have a limited amount of space so any extra people turning up not on the list will simply be turned away.
wupadupa house gig!
We're very excited about our next gig. It's our first official house gig. Here are the details...
It's a gig, it's in a house, it's mainly unplugged and will have a very special intimate atmosphere allowing you to see some very special acts in a very special setting.
There will be cake, it will be free and homemade, and you'll be able to eat it in a house. Yay!
Acts playing on the night are sugardrum, Woodpecker Wooliams and Weston Green.
Oh, and it's on Friday 11th December, starting at 8pm and is in the Kingston area.
The gig is free, but you are invited to make a small donation (suggested amount £5) with all the money going to the artists, unlike many gigs where the promoter takes most of the money even if they don't turn up to the gig themselves!
Each act will be playing for about 30/40mins with a short break between each act for us all to mingle and socialise.
As space is limited we are unable to give out the location of the gig to everyone, so if you would like to come along:
1. contact us, saying you would like to go to the gig along with your name, email and your general location e.g. London, Scotland, South West etc.
2. If there is still space on the magical audience list then we will add your name to said magical audience list and notify you that your name has been added to the magical audience list, along with the address of the gig.

We hope to be doing lots of gigs of this nature in the future. In fact, if you or anyone you know have a suitable room in a house that you would like to have a gig in then let us know!

about wupadupa
cake is a very important thing.
We are a group of musicans, artists and filmakers who put on events, often collaborating on projects. Recent events have included the string thing, mail art, phone art, film nights, sing things and house gigs.
we believe people should eat more cake so we usually provide free cake at our events and often put on events to raise money and awareness for charities including friends of the earth, the sudan appeal and amnesty freedom festival.
if you would like to find out more or join in the fun please join the mailing list using the form below or send us an email to
eat cake!
